Cobra Tactical Training Division

CCW Training

Cobra Tactical is an LASD and LAPD-approved provider of CCW (carry a concealed weapon) trainings for Los Angeles County residents. Our 16-hour course emphasizes practical training, so by the end of the course you not only know how to properly use your firearm, but also are comfortable with using it in high-stress situations where you would need to defend yourself or others. We pride ourselves in providing high-caliber training from our owner, a former Marine, and our experienced trainers in a one-on-one (or two-on-one maximum) environment where we prepare you with skills most people do not get to experience.

Our classes are held in Valencia/Santa Clarita.

NO PRE-REQUISITES REQUIRED! Whether you've never shot a gun in your life or are a seasoned professional, we will get you shooting better than most by the end of our 16-hour class. No additional courses required to sign up.

Renewal courses also available. For inquiries regarding our CCW training, please email contact@cobratactical.com with the subject "CCW Training" or give us a call!

If you have not received approval from the LASD to take your CCW training, first submit your application by following the steps here. For those in LA city, follow the LAPD's application steps here

Cobra Tactical requires a minimum of 4 people to hold a CCW class. Classes with less than 4 people with deposits may be cancelled and rescheduled. Deposits will be refunded or reassigned to a different class.

What makes our class different?

We don't believe in just checking-off boxes for your license. Our training is an investment into your training that prepares you both physically and mentally for carrying a firearm every day. Having a CCW is a big responsibility, and our aim is to equip each student with important skills that would prepare them for if they ever do need to use it to protect themselves or others.

- Small class size: we cap our classes at 8 students, which creates a safer, more intentional environment.

- Small student-to-instructor ratio: it's not you and 20 strangers with one or two instructors. We require 1 instructor per 2 students. You can be sure that we are right there to correct you, keep you safe, and help you shoot the best you can.

- Interactive classes: do you love sitting through 8+ hours of straight lectures or instructional videos? Neither do we. We incorporate fun, interactive drills to help you practically apply what you learn in our class to real-life. Whether it's going through close-quarters drawing from your holster, Stopping the Bleed with tourniquet practice, or responding to a simulated threat running at you with a weapon, the information we provide will be useful to you far beyond the 8 or 16 hours in-class.

- Moving and shooting: we don't just sit you behind the red line on the range and tell you to shoot stationary targets. By the end of our class, you will be familiar with moving while shooting (which is what most CCW situations will look like in real life).
