Propper International's Authentic NFPA Airman Battle Uniform coat for women made of 100% Cotton Ripstop with Digital Tiger Stripe pattern. Features four pockets and reinforced elbows. NIR-compliant. Also available in men's sizes.
Note: The 100% Cotton ABU may not be approved for use across the Air Force. It is specifically designed for applications requiring a fire-retardant garment such as welding, firefighting or electrical work and must be approved for use.
Because the NFPA-Compliant ABU will be available soon with a new style number (F5487), the 100% Cotton version of this style number (F5426) is a closeout item with no refunds available.
T he military fabric approved throughout the Air Force is the 50/50 Nylon/Cotton Twill. This fabric is resistant to fading and shrinking and is treated with a permanent press application that makes it also wrinkle-resistant.
The 100% Cotton Ripstop fabric is used primarily by personnel requiring a fire-retardant fabric. This would include welders, electricians and firefighters. The fabric will fade slightly over time and personnel can expect 1-2% shrinkage over the life of the garment, although the sizing charts do take this into account.
Both fabrics contain NIR technology.
